different aromatic plants for partners in the cosmetics, fragrance, flavor, and wellness

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Manager to own and develop the Specialty Aromatic Ingredients category. This role has a strong focus on fine fragrance applications. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving global new business development while managing a limited number of strategic accounts.
This is an individual contributor role, reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, and requires close collaboration on pricing strategy, margin management, and long-term commercial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Category Ownership: Own and develop the Specialty Aromatic Ingredients category,
including category strategy, product positioning, and commercial execution.
• New Business Development: Drive global new business opportunities, representing
approximately 80% of role focus, with fine fragrance houses, flavor houses, and niche brands.
• Account Management: Manage and grow a select portfolio of strategic existing customers,
representing approximately 20% of activity.
• Commercial Negotiation: Lead pricing and margin negotiations in close coordination with
the CCO to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.
• Strategic Agreements: Support the development and negotiation of long-term supply
agreements with key customers.
• Sales Planning: Contribute to category-level forecasting, pipeline management, and sales
planning.
• Industry Representation: Represent ABL Botanicals at international trade fairs, client
meetings, and industry events.
• Internal Collaboration: Work closely with sourcing, production, quality, and logistics teams
to ensure commercial commitments are operationally aligned.
• Farm Engagement: Participate in visits to ABL Botanicals’ farms and production sites in Morocco to support product knowledge and client engagement.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the fragrance, flavor, or natural ingredients industry.
• Proven experience in category-driven sales and new business development.
• Strong understanding of value-based pricing and margin management.
• Existing professional network within fine fragrance houses, flavor houses, or niche brands is highly valued.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Candidate should be proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Zoho suite of apps is an advantage.
• Fluent in English; French is strongly preferred.
• Self-motivated, structured, and comfortable operating as an individual contributor.
